Wanna Makasiini Bistro is a straightforward and atmospheric restaurant. Our delicious dishes and tasty desserts are prepared from the freshest ingredients available.

Our excellent wine and beverage selection is tailor made to complete Your dinner. The strawberry on the cake is our gorgeous red bricked milieu in Lappeenranta harbour.

During summer time you can dine and enjoy your stay on our lovely terrace with the view over Lake Saimaa.

Enjoy the food

All our dishes are prepared professionally and ingredients are selected from the freshest batch. Our food is based on classical cooking, where familiar ingredients are served in a new way, elegant — but not too fancy. We like to give new experiences to our customers and that is the reason our menu changes couple times a year.

Drinks for demanding taste

Our drink selection includes aperitifs, beers, ciders, wines, cocktails… you name it! We have paired every dish with quality wines. Our wine selection also includes some rarities that will certainly please the demanding taste.

Gorgeous historical atmosphere

Our restaurant building was built in 1915 as an armory for our 11th sniper regiment. Today the gunsmiths and carpenters old workshop serves the customers of Wanha Makasiini Bistro as day to day dining purposes as well as celebrations and other occasions. We have places for approximately 100 customers, during the summertime almost 200 due to our large and sunny terrace. Our two main halls and our two cabinets are made for celebrations, meetings, business occasions and unforgettable evenings spent with friends and family.
