Private occasions

Wanha Makasiini Bistro restaurant provides excellent premises for meetings and other private occasions. Spacious front hall, Anchor hall and our cabinets provide excellent venue for your formal or informal occasions! The restaurant building was built in 1915 as an armory for our 11th sniper regiment. Today the gunsmiths and carpenters old workshop serves the customers of Wanha Makasiini Bistro as day to day dining purposes as well as celebrations and other occasions. We have places for approximately 100 customers. We provide you with tailored entities from start to finish. For more information, check below.

Front hall

Our cosy front hall provides seating for 40 persons, including the bar were you can stop by for a drink.

Anchor hall

Anchor Hall can be separated for its own private space and is convertible for business meetings and informal parties. Tables can be arranged in theatre, classroom, U- or boardroom shapes. Anchor hall has seating for approximately 40 persons and the space includes stationary conference technology and wireless internet connection.

Wine Cabinet

Our Wine Cabinet is perfect for small meetings and gatherings with friends and family. This atmospheric cabinet has seating for 10 persons and it radiates the spirit of Wanha Makasiini.

Satama Cabinet

Satama Cabinet (Harbour cabinet) is fit for maximum of 16 people and is perfect for formal meetings or family occasions offering a relaxing view over Lake Saimaa. Cabinet includes stationary conference technology and wireless internet connection.

Conference rooms

Wine and Satama Cabinets as well as Anchor Hall are excellent spaces for meetings and other business related occasions. Anchor Hall has seating for approximately 40 people and we can arrange Anchor Hall tables the best way suited for your occasion. Stationary conference technology and wireless internet connection are at your use. Satama cabinet provides a quiet meeting room for 8-16 people and stationary conference technology. Our cosy Wine Cabinet serves as a little bit more relaxed meeting place.
